We are looking to expand our project and support teams and are looking to appoint a Mainframe Systems Programmer with extensive Z-series experience. OS/390 (MVS) technical expert, providing consulting services in systems software management and software maintenance.
Extensive experience required with the majority of IBM and non-IBM software products supported under the OS/390 operating system. To be comfortable in the areas of systems integration, technical systems programming, assembler programming, capacity planning and performance monitoring and tuning. Experience project managing as well as, playing a key role in performance audits.
Provision of technical guidance in the areas of ZOS/390 (MVS) System Programming and System Software Maintenance (a System Engineer role). This includes responsibility for the technical content of ISI correspondence and the preparation of bids and expressions of interest.
Extensive consultation with clients and ISI sales personnel in regard to hardware and software requirements, capacity planning and performance issues. This also includes ensuring ISI's Quality Management procedures are followed. This involves client meetings, consultant reviews and implementation reviews.
Experience with either of the following:
CICS
Security - RACF / ACF2
DB2 / ADABAS / IMS
MVS / VSE - OS/390
