We are seeking a highly skilled SAN Administration Manager with a particular emphasis on the HDS, IBM & EMC hardware and software in the Open Systems area. This position is geared for a long term contract engagement.
The typical candidate would possess a minimum of 5 + years experience in this area and be able to perform the following tasks:
General day to day administration and performance monitoring, tuning, reporting
Have a working knowledge of the HDS hardware, particularly the USP suite
Configure and maintain the SAN array via Device Manger and HSSM
Create and distribute reporting via Hi-Command
Understand the use of Shadow Image and True Copy for Disaster Recovery
Have an understanding of the Brocade Fibre Switches and HBA interfaces
In addition to the administration and technical management of the SAN we also have customer requirements for the SAN Manager to be able to:
Develop future SAN strategies for our customers
Provide advice regarding backup and recovery to customers application teams
Implement pro-active performance monitoring and alter notification
Provide a degree of training and knowledge transfer to our customers support staff
